To apply for admission, an application fee of R100 and an admission fee of R300 are payable.
To apply for admission, an application fee of R100 and an admission fee of R300 are payable. Applications must be submitted in writing, by hand or email (admin@bergviewc.co.za) with the following documents:
Completed Application Form
Must be signed by both parents where applicable. In cases of divorce or separation, proof of consent or a legal document (court order/affidavit) must be provided if only one parent signs.
Learner’s Birth Certificate
A valid Birth Certificate or proof of application at Home Affairs if not yet available
South African ID
Only required for learners aged 16 and older. A valid singed copy of the learners ID.
Immunisation Record
Only Required for Pre-Grade R to Grade 7 learners. Proof of immunisation against polio, measles, TB, diphtheria, tetanus, and hepatitis B.
Transfer Card
A Transfer Card from the previous school. If unavailable, either:
The latest original report card, or
An affidavit explaining the absence of a transfer card.
Specialist/Educational Reports
If applicable, please provided the relevant Specialist/Education Reports. For Example: speech, occupational therapy, remedial, or medical reports.
Proof of Residential Address
A recent utility bill, bank statement, lease agreement, or title deed (not older than 3 months).
Additional Notes
- False information (e.g., about age) is a legal offence and may result in action being taken.
- All documents provided are subject to verification.
- Learners transferring from home schooling must submit all the above (except the transfer card).
- Non-South African learners must also provide:
- Certified copies of parents’ residence permits or refugee permits, OR
- A certified copy of the learner’s valid study permit.
